Live Your Imagination Stylised Session | Ellison Family

And so it begins… Its been a long time coming but here is the start of our journey, lets see where it takes us.

A Princess and the Pea inspired session.

There is just something about a pine tree forest filled with lovely props that makes my heart skip a beat! When we started planning this session, we knew it had to be magical! We started with an image of Ayrlie’s outfit and the location and everything else was worked around that. The session evolved from woodland animals, to little red riding hood to eventually the princess and the pea. We were then fortunate enough to borrow a snow and fog machine, and since it was getting close to Christmas, decided to add fairy lights and large snow flakes! Props were sourced from our stylist, dressmaker and things we already had stashed away in the prop room. The outfits on the other hand were all custom made. Everything except for the tights and socks were lovingly hand sewn. I mean, where else are we going to get 18th century ruffled shirts!

The kids loved running around in the snow and having stick fights. Incorporating activities into the session, not only helps the day be super fun and relaxed, but also creates longer lasting memories. I’m sure these little ones will remember this session for many years to come, I know I will.

All outfits were custom made by our dressmaker Robyn from The House of Romill. Hair and make up was done by Marnie Smith. Both of these talented ladies are part of our team and we are so lucky to be able to work with them.
